Stress

Stress is another aspect of good health. When we are under emotional stress, our defense systems are weakened as if we were standing behind a diesel bus and breathing the fumes. We are more likely to get colds, flu and other infectious diseases. Blood pressure may be elevated by emotional stress and lead to heart disease.

We also need to get sufficient and deep sleep at night to give our bodies and cells a chance to heal.

It is not well known that food digestion places great stress on our bodies. Eating less food in general is believed to promote a longer life. Eating shortly before bedtime, puts digestion stress on our bodies when we should be relaxed for the healing process while sleeping.
